‘I’m Glad I Did’ Will Always Follow ‘I Don’t Want To’

This morning sitting cozy on the couch with my husband watching the fire and sipping my coffee , Jerry asked, “Are you ready to walk with me?” I responded back to him “I don’t feel like it!”

I know you know how I feel….It’s cold outside, it’s raining and the last thing I wanted to do was get up from the warm, cozy couch and fire and brave the cold and rain to walk.

But I went ahead and started getting dressed to walk. By the time I had put on my walking shoes my “I don’t feel like it attitude” started changing and I will honestly have to admit as I finished our walk, I felt good. My attitude changed to “I am so glad I did.”

5 Good Reasons to Walk

RealBuzz, a site focused on healthy living, lists five reasons to walk. Here they are:

  1. Walking is totally free and easy
  2. Walking is great for your heart
  3. Walking gives you immunity
  4. May reduce the risk of some cancers
  5. Talking up walking is as good for your mind as it is for your body

Tomorrow, I would love for you to consider as you get up to not let your “I don’t want to” attitude determine what you do. Remember “I’m Glad I Did” will always follow “I don’t feel like it!”
